A traditional home with a cottage feel was the design goal for this Return-to-Vermont custom build. A place for the owner to retreat and family to gather. Surrounded by rambling flower beds, long views of Lake Champlain, and the Charlotte hills; the client has created a haven for birds and family alike. Stretches of multiple windows allow in plenty of light and views of the surrounding gardens. Extensive traditional millwork and cabinetry create a backdrop for comfortable simple furniture and furnishings. Built-in beds, a claw foot tub and a charming custom brass bird finial are some of the highlights. The large loft family room is a great place for grand kids to play and Grandma to paint. The screen porch with a large swing and a patio with an inset fireplace are perfect places to relax on a hot summer day or a cool fall night.
