The long View Renovation

This home sits on a wooded rise above Lake Champlain with a long view west to the Adirondacks. Our renovation brought the exterior under a deep blue-gray palette with a cedar shingle roof with copper standing-seam accents with an additiona of a palatial front porch.
Inside, the work is in the joinery. The library is capped by a hipped cherry ceiling of radiating beams and V-groove paneling, wrapped in built-in cherry casework and anchored by a window seat. The kitchen carries the same hand: custom cherry cabinetry, fitted spice drawers with dovetailed maple boxes, a rolling library ladder, and full marble slab counters and backsplash. Painted millwork and built-ins continue through the rest of the house.
