Sited on the mountainside below Pinnacle Peak and with sweeping views of Mount Mansfield, this family home features a cantilevered Master Suite that hangs out over a little stream. Oil-rubbed steel columns and beams provide for vast expanses of glass to take advantage of the western views. Triple-glazed European windows and doors, an aggressive insulation package and a geo-thermal heating and cooling system coupled with a large array of solar panels on the roof provide for near-net-zero energy use. Walnut floors, doors and built ins lend elegance to the interior spaces. The exterior is clad in western hemlock impregnated with tar. Stone panels veneer the lower level while concrete landscape walls define the outdoor spaces. Expected completion in February of 2020.
