Underhill B&B

Architect: Elizabeth Herrmann Architecture + Design ; Photos: Jeremy Gantz

This unique structure is situated high on the flanks of Mount Mansfield in Underhill, VT, and was designed to be built on the foundation of a pre-existing house as an ‘art inspired’ bed and breakfast. The three lower level suites each have their own distinct art theme and color patterns — hence the bold, multi-colored exterior. The main level contains an open kitchen, living area, and a connected dining room that is sized to serve guests. The exterior is composed of corrugated steel and Pine shiplap. The interior is a crisp ‘white on white’  palette to help showcase art.  The master loft is served by a custom steel staircase.
